My Background
I grew up in a small town in Wisconsin, U.S., and began my psychology journey at the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities, where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. My dissertation focused on substance abuse within the U.S. prison system. During this time, I also worked at a group home for individuals with various diagnoses who were unable to live independently.
I further expanded my expertise through an exchange program in Copenhagen, Denmark, where I studied European Clinical Psychology and worked with the elderly, focusing on loneliness. Afterward, I worked as a behavioral psychologist with children with developmental disorders before pursuing my Master’s program, which brought me to Athens, Greece.
In Athens, I specialized in integrative psychotherapy for vulnerable populations, volunteering at a women’s refugee clinic for two years. I also worked with expatriates and internationals across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. After completing my Master’s, I established my private practice in 2023, focusing on helping individuals who have relocated from their home countries.
Today, I offer both in-person and online psychotherapy. If you have any questions about my experience or how we can work together, please feel free to reach out.
My Approach & Philosophy
As an integrative psychotherapist, I draw on a variety of therapeutic approaches, recognizing that each person is unique and that therapy should be tailored to fit individual needs. I firmly believe that there is no one-size-fits-all solution to healing and growth. If you are a more logical thinker, we may explore structured approaches like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy or Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which provide clear steps to help you make progress. If you lean toward creativity, we can incorporate art therapy, imagery work, and person-centered exploration to safely and creatively process emotions and thoughts.
I also believe that you are the expert of your own experience, and I will consistently seek your feedback to ensure our work together is meaningful and effective. Through our sessions, we will explore what resonates with you, discard techniques that don’t feel right, and create a personalized path toward understanding, growth, and balance in your life.
